For once, motorbikes won’t kick off the meetings in 2014 at the Le Mans 24-Hours circuits: this time the season will begin with a round of the Fun Cup (29-30 March). But it won’t be long before the bikes invade the Bugatti circuit, as the 2014 French Superbike Championship will pitch its tent there on 5-6 April 2014.

Seven months later the Inter Ecuries meeting will bring a particularly full season to a close on 25-26 October.

Obviously, the high point of the year will be the Le Mans 24 Hours on 14-15 June. In 2013 the Le Mans 24 Hours celebrated their 90th anniversary. In 2014 with the introduction of a new set of technical regulations and the arrival of new teams, the blue riband event on the FIA World Endurance Championship calendar will be future-oriented. This race will be the third round of the FIA-WEC calendar, and as the summit of the endurance pyramid double points will be awarded.

Two weeks earlier (1st June) the Test Day will be held and scrutineering will take place in the Le Mans town centre on 8-9 June.

After the return of the VdeV Series to Le Mans (18-20 April), the GT Tour/French FFSA Circuits Championship will take place on the Bugatti circuit a week later (25-27 April).

As 2014 is an even-numbered year, Le Mans Classic, the biggest rendezvous for historic cars devoted to the Le Mans 24 Hours, will be on the calendar on 4-6 July.

The 37th Le Mans 24 Hours for Motorbikes, which will again be the final round of the FIM World Endurance Championship, will take place on its usual dates on 20-21 September.

With the French Grand Prix (16-18 May), the French Promosport Cups (19-20 July) and the national heat of the Superbikes, which is also the first round of the season, the Le Mans circuit keeps its leadership as the leading organiser of motorbike races on circuits in France.

While the Le Mans 24 Hours for Karts will be held on 30-31 August on the new international kart track, the full calendar of this branch of the sport at Le Mans in 2014 will be announced at a later date.

The final 24-Hours race for vehicles, the Le Mans 24 Hours for Trucks, will go ahead on 11-12 October 2014. Save the date as this event that always attracts a large crowd will be celebrating its 30th anniversary!

As usual the Bugatti circuit will host competitions for types of power other than the internal combustion engine like the 24 Hours for Rollers (28-29 June), for bicycles (23-24 August) and the traditional end-of-season Marathon (19th October).
