Alain Cudini and Eric Helary are expected to drive Aston Martin's DB7. Richard William's AMR-1 Group C, 32 valve, 6.3L V8, is expected to produce 620 horsepower with air restrictors.
Former Le Mans Bugatti car owner, Michel Hommell, recently reached agreement with Aston Martin, Paris distributor. Preparation has begun at Le Mans based Synergie Co.
The DB7 race version, is based on Feb.1993 issue of a TWR supercharged 3.2L 6 powered DB7 built in Bloxham,England. Expected production of 650/year, takes 180 hours per car, versus 1400 hours for the handcrafted Aston Martin Virage built at Newport Pagnell. The DB7 is projected for '96 sales in USA, at $130k.
