Strakka Racing will bid a fond farewell to to their LM P1 team HPD ARX-03c at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The Le Mans winning privateer team will not contest the remaining 2013 WEC events.
This weekend’s 24 Hours of Le Mans also was the third round of the 2013 World Endurance Championship.
Strakka Racing has won the LMP1 Privateers’ award at the 2013 Le Mans 24 Hours.
Having qualified 8th, Strakka Racing is one of several teams to receive a grid penalty for qualifying outside the 110% rule.
Strakka has a strong record at Le Mans, winning the LMP2 category in 2010 and finished 5th overall – the highest ever finishing position for an LMP2 car.
The Silverstone-based team enjoyed a successful season in the inaugural FIA WEC last year, when it returned to LMP1 prototype competition for the first time since 2009 with the HPD ARX-03a.
