Tom Kristensen increased his record number of wins to nine! He was close to tears when he dedicated this win to his fellow-countryman who died on Saturday.
The eleven “Legends of Le Mans” include the following: Bentley Speed Six, Porsche 917K, Porsche 956, Audi R10 TDI and Audi R18 e-tron quattro.
The race ended in an Audi one, two, three and a Ferrari double in LM GTE as the Italian cars triumphed in both Pro and Am.
The German team takes the lead on the route to Le Mans, which began this weekend in front of 35,000 spectators in the Silverstone 6 Hours, the opening round of the WEC. The European Le Mans Series had a 3-hour race.
