TAYLOR MIINCH LOOKS TO CONTINUE PODIUM STREAK

April 20, 2009 -- With a successful close to the 2009 Gatorz Challenge of the Americas and a great start in the Snap-on Stars of Karting East division championship, Californian Taylor Miinch will look to continue his success this weekend at the Jim Russell Infineon Raceway Karting Center in Sonoma, California. Looking to challenge for the national championship at the end of the season, Miinch will do battle in the Junior National and KF3 classes at the Snap-on Stars of Karting Grand Prix of Sonoma at the tricky wine country facility.

After running up front in the East division opener at the Ocala Gran Prix track in Ocala, Florida, Miinch managed to score a second place podium result in the Junior National class where he showed his abilities to run up front. Looking to repeat his success in the KF3 class, the Top Kart USA pilot was involved in a first corner incident that saw damage done to his machine taking him out of the race.

A few weeks later, Miinch was back behind the wheel of his Top Kart, this time in the Rotax Junior class at the final round of the Gatorz series at Willow Springs Raceway in Rosamond, California. Looking for another good weekend, Miinch scored two pole positions as well as two podium results including a dominating victory in Sunday's competition.

"2009 has been good to us so far," stated Taylor Miinch from his home in Alpine, California. "I have managed to be on the podium a lot and won a few races so far. My ultimate goal is the national championship and after a good start in the East, I am looking to do the same here on the West to help better my chances."

Working with tuner Wesley Boswell and engine builder Jesus Vasquez, Miinch will utilize a P1 Comer powered Top Kart in KF3 as well as a P1 prepared Parilla Leopard in Junior National.
