Dec. 27 event staging procedures for Daytona KartWeek

11.30.2009 -- On Sunday, Dec. 27, WKA Speedway Dirt, Road Racing and Manufacturer's Cup teams will be able to enter the gates at Daytona International Speedway to park and unload their haulers in anticipation of KartWeek 2010 by Cometic Gasket.

On that day, all competitors will enter DIS property via Gate 70 (off Midway Blvd.) and follow signs to the staging area. Haulers will then be separated by series and by sponsors and general competitors. Pit pass sales will be located in the staging area for Dec. 27 only. WKA and DIS personnel will instruct teams when and where to enter the pit area.

The staging area opens at 7 a.m. on Dec. 27. Sponsor and garage parking will begin at 9 a.m. with competitor parking to follow at 11 a.m. Pit pass sales will run from 7 a.m. till 5 p.m. and pre-entry pickup will take place at infield registration from noon till 5 p.m. Pit gates will close at 7:30 p.m. all week.

Revised Road Racing Daytona schedule

11.30.2009 -- The revised Dunlop Tire Road Racing Series driven by Mazda schedule and entry blank for Daytona KartWeek by Cometic Gasket is now available on www.WorldKarting.com. This entry blank includes some important revisions of which all Road Racing competitors should take note to see if it affects your class(es).

This will be the final adjustment to the race order for the Road Racing portion of KartWeek 2010. WKA extends its appreciation for your patience with this procedure as the staff is working to help make the 2009 Daytona experience the best ever for WKA membership.
