07.09.2009 -- If you can't make it to the Zoom Zoom Nationals at Road America this weekend, you'll still be able to keep up with all the action via the Internet, specifically www.worldkarting.com.

WKA's Keith Shampine will be in Elkhart Lake all weekend, providing previews, race results and race recaps for fans to view and read on WKA's Web site. He'll be sending the updates to WKA Webmaster Mike Traylor, who will be based in Charlotte and uploading the content and results to the Web site as soon as he receives it.

Specific times of the updates won't be determined, but fans and racers who can't attend the Zoom Zoom Nationals are urged to check worldkarting.com every hour or two, especially Saturday and Sunday, for regular updates.

Previews, results and recaps from Round 3 of the George Kugler / Bridgestone Manufacturer's Cup Series and Round 5 of the Dunlop Tire National Road Racing Series, both driven by Mazda, will be posted. This will be a great way to keep up with all the WKA action in the upper Midwest this weekend, follow your favorite drivers or teams and read some great content as to what's happening at the world-class Road America facility.

RaceFanRadio will not make trip to Road America

07.09. 2009 -- Due to an eleventh hour loss of a primary sponsor, RaceFanRadio and SpeedcastTV.com will not be able to make the trip to Road America for this weekend's Zoom Zoom Nationals, meaning there will be no live video or audio webcast of the event.

Fans and racers not attending will still be able to keep track of the happenings at Road America, but they'll have to read about it rather than watch or hear it. Championship Karting International Exchange Program sends 6 racers to compete in Formula Kart Stars event at UK PF International Circuit

07.09. 2009 (Phoenix) -- In May at Championship Karting International's Grand Prix of New Castle, six drivers from one of Europe's premier karting series, Formula Kart Stars UK, "crossed the pond" and competed in the event.

This month, it's America's turn.

CKI is pleased to announce that six pilots from the series will compete at the Formula Karting Stars upcoming event at PF International in Grantham -- the series flagship circuit, scheduled for July 17 - 19.

Similar to the European group at New Castle, CKI will provide drivers with a chassis and engine program, event entry, pit spaces with respective teams and all pit passes. Drivers will also receive complimentary practice and race tires. Competitors come from two classes: Cadet and KF3. Representing the USA and CKI will be Cadet's Santino Ferrucci, Josh Saurino, and Ashley Rogero; from KF3 Hans Saurino, Phil DeLao and Tristan DeGrand will carry the Stars and Stripes.

"We're delighted to be teaming up with Formula Kart Stars UK for this unique exchange program; it's one of Europe's very best series, so the competition should be great. It's a terrific opportunity for CKI drivers to experience European racing and get a taste of international culture -- it's a lifetime experience," states CKI Director of Operations Kevin Williams. "In everything we do, CKI is committed to providing the very best experience for our drivers -- both on and off the track. This is one example of that commitment. Please join me in wishing the CKI team the very best at PF International. Our thanks and appreciation goes out to the Formula Kart Stars team, and our CKI sponsors for helping make this exchange program a success."

For information about CKI sponsors, visit www.bridgestone.com; www.formulabmwusa.com; www.ssceast.com; www.italianmotors.com, www.decalmx.com and www.russellkarting.com.

The Championship Karting International 2009 series is a WKA-sanctioned four-event season. The next event, CKI Grand Prix of California, will take place at the CalSpeed Karting Center at Southern California's world famous Auto Club Speedway, August 7-9. In addition, events have been held at New Castle Motorsports Park, in May, and New Jersey Motorsports Park, in June. A season finale will take place at Oklahoma Motorsports Complex, Norman, OK, October 9-11.
