Local Option Classes Added For Margarettsville Dirt National

04.15.2009 - With the first event for the 2009 Briggs & Stratton Speedway Dirt Series season just a few weeks away, officials at Margarettsville Speedway, along with WKA, have elected to add the Briggs Medium and Briggs Heavy Flathead classes as Local Option classes for the upcoming Bordeaux Dyno Cams Nationals April 24-26 in Margarettsville, North Carolina.

With the announcement comes a change to the weekend schedule. Both Local Option classes will be added to the Sunday race day schedule. With a full load of racing activity on Saturday, combined with the $1700 to win Briggs Animal Heavy Money Race Saturday night, officials feel this will help balance out the weekend program.

Entry fee for the Local Option classes will be $45 per class. Temporary Memberships will be available that weekend at a cost of $20. Participants in this class should note that Local Option races do NOT count towards a year-end national championship.

The addition of the Local Option classes further loads up a huge weekend of racing, including 23 national points classes, 7 of which will run for a top 3 payout, not to mention the Money Class for the Animal Heavy class.
