Entry Blanks Posted For Upcoming Events

02.26.2009 -- As winter begins to fade away, World Karting has been busy working on a few new things for the 2009 season. We have posted updated entry blanks on the WKA website for the next six National events. Take advantage of reduced fees and move through the registration lines quicker by pre-registering today!

The Bully Clutches Gold Cup Series will hold their season opening Michigan Kart Supply Nationals on March 20 -- 22, 2009 at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, NC. Pre-entries must be received at WKA by March 11, 2009 for this event (For more on this series go to www.worldkarting.com/pg/series/gc/gc-main.html). Also on that weekend just over the South Carolina state line, the WKA / Dunlop Tire National Road Racing Series driven by Mazda will run their second event of the season at Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw, SC. Pre-entries are due at WKA by March 11, 2009 for this event also (For more on this series go to www.worldkarting.com/pg/series/rr/rr-main.html).

With a slight change in the season opener for the Briggs & Stratton Speedway Dirt Series, Kershaw, SC's Hanging Rock Kartway staff will be first-time hosts for the Briggs & Stratton Dirt Nationals the weekend of March 27 -- 29, 2009. All pre-entries must be received by March 18, 2009 (For more on this series go to www.worldkarting.com/pg/series/ds/ds-main.html). OCR Action Sports Park, located in Rougemont, NC will be the first stop for the Rage Karts Speedway Pavement Series on the weekend of April 3 -- 5, 2009. All pre-entries for the Hodge Racing Supplies Nationals need to be turned into the WKA office by March 25, 2009 (For more on this series go to www.worldkarting.com/pg/series/ps/ps-main.html).

The second event for the Briggs & Stratton Speedway Dirt Series will be held at Margarettsville (NC) Speedway on the weekend of April 24 -- 26, 2009. The Bordeaux Dyno Cams Nationals pre-entries must be received by April 15, 2009 (For more on this series go to www.worldkarting.com/pg/series/ds/ds-main.html). The second event for the George Kugler's Manufacturer's Cup Series driven by Mazda will head to Michiana Raceway Park in South Bend, IN for the MRP Speed School Nationals on May 1 -- 3, 2009. Pre-entries for this event must be received by April 22, 2009 (For more on this series go to www.worldkarting.com/pg/series/mc/mc-main.html).

2009-season reserved number requests are now open to all competitors and are included on all National event entry forms.

Update On OCR Speedway Pavement Local Option Classes

02.26.2009 - With the first event for the 2009 Rage Karts Speedway Pavement Series nearing, there is an update to the Local Option Classes that will be running April 3-5 at the Hodge Racing Supplies Nationals at OCR Action Sports Park in Rougemont, North Carolina.

As mentioned, the Briggs Medium and Heavy classes will run, utilizing the Briggs Flathead Motor and the Maxis EL Tire. A Local Option Class for the Briggs Junior Sportsman 1 Champ drivers was also added for both Saturday and Sunday. However, while the initial specified motor was flathead, this class will instead utilize the animal motor, also running the Maxxis ELTire.

Briggs Medium and Junior Sportsman 1 Champ Lite will run on Saturday, with the Junior Sportsman 1 Champ Heavy drivers joining the Briggs Heavy Local Option classes on Sunday.

Entry fee for the Local Option classes is set at $45 per class. Temporary Memberships are also available for the weekend at $20. To view the OCR Entry Blank, go to www.worldkarting.com/pg/series/ps/ps-main.html.
