Joey King Rejoins Mark Coats Racing

Four time National Champion, Joey King, has announced today that he will return to Mark Coats Racing for the 2006 WKA Manufactures Cup Championship and Midwest Sprint Series. The 2005 Formula Y. Sr. National champion will not defend his title in 2006 as he will be competing in Yamaha Lite, HPV Lite, and Sr. Sportsman Lite throughout the season. Once again, Joey will be racing aboard Margay Chassis, and Adkins Speed Center will be powering the Bridgestone shod karts.

"I am very excited to be back with Mark Coats for 2006," commented King. "I had my most success with Mark and am very happy to be competing on Margay chassis and Adkins engines once again."

"I am looking forward to kicking off the 2006 season at Daytona. Joey is one of the best drivers I have ever worked with and I believe we will be just as strong if not stronger than what we were in 2004," stated Mark Coats.

Accomplished street racer, Jason Birdsell, will be the lead mechanic for the team in 2006. Joey King would like to thank Margay Karts, Mark Coats, Adkins Speed Center, and Full Throttle Marketing for all of their support.
