Seattle, WA -- (September 11, 2007): The Snap-on Stars of Karting presented by IndyCar Series will end its season with two events airing on national television with the Desert MINI National Finals at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and All-Stars Karting Classic from PRI events to air on the Versus and SPEED networks respectively. All five classes in the series will have their Final races shown and National Champions crowned during a one-hour broadcast on the Versus Network's Lucas Oil Motorsports Hour. The 2nd annual All-Stars Karting Classic from the PRI Show in Orlando, Florida will see separate half-hour broadcasts devoted to both the Karter (series regulars) and Masters (race car drivers) events on the Lucas Oil on the Edge Series.

The events are being made possible thanks to advertising support from series title sponsor Snap-on Tools, Official Tire Supplier Bridgestone Tires, and Lucas Oil. The television package will mark the fifth out of the past six years that the series has brought the sport of karting to a mainstream national audience on television. "We are proud of our association with the Snap-on Stars of Karting presented by IndyCar Series and believe support of the television broadcasts which expose our brand, and the sport to a wider audience is something we want to be a part of," stated Carl Johanson, Motorsports Marketing Manager for Snap-on. Kevin Hunley of Bridgestone believes the broadcasts help to expose the companies grassroots efforts, "By supporting the television coverage of the final two races of 2007 we can help the motorsports world to be aware that Bridgestone -- Firestone is active in all levels of motorsport in the United States."

An element built into this year's television package to add value is the inclusion of Rob Howden, the Snap-on Stars of Ka rting on-site P.A. announcer, and owner of eKa rtingnews.com and Formula Car Magazine, as color commentator for the broadcasts. "I'm thrilled to have been given the oppo rtunity to join the broadcast team for these events," offered Howden. "It's no secret that I love watching Stars of Ka rting events and I hope that I will be able to translate my enthusiasm into color commentary that truly po rtrays ka rting as the exciting form of racing that it is. Stars' continued ability to get their events on television is playing a huge role in exposing the spo rt to new people and I'm happy that I can be a pa rt of it."

Production of the broadcasts will be carried out by Newave Productions of Tinley Park, IL. Newave has partnered with the Snap-on Stars of Karting for the past three seasons in bringing the series to national television.

"Year after year we strive to add more value to the racers, families, and karting distributors that invest so much in our series. The television broadcasts on the Versus and SPEED Networks, as well as great venues like the PRI Show and Las Vegas Motor Speedway allow us to help expose the sport to a much wider audience with support from outside of the karting industry. While these initiatives aren't always easy to put into motion, we believe they are worth the effort as we strive to add value for all the racers in all the classes of our series," stated Series President Paul Zalud.
