SCOTT ROSSI RUNS INTO BAD LUCK AT STARS OF KARTING OPENER
"Wet weather action reeks havoc in Oklahoma"

Guelph, Ontario -- March 22, 2006 -- Multi-time karting champion and Stars of Karting (SoK) front runner Scott Rossi had a tough outing this past weekend at the opening round of the Race of the America's to kick off the SoK series. The youngster was close to the top of the time sheets all weekend long but some bad luck in the final took him out of contention for the victory.

After qualifying in the 10th position, Rossi moved forward and finished second in his heat race. Not only would this be a great starting position for the final but Rossi was riding high after being the quickest driver from both pre-final events. Rossi was looking to carry the momentum into the final and come home with the win.

As the rain continued to fall, the Junior Intercontinental A (JICA) class took the green flag with Rossi's High-Rev / KRT package outside row two. The British Columbia resident was pushed wide on the exit of the corner falling almost to the tail of the 36 kart field. After traveling through the grass and with a kart that would not steer correctly, Rossi began to push hard and progress forward to take the checkers in the 18th position.
