Ekartingnews offers $25,000 contingency sponsorship for WKA Daytona KartWeek.
SIERRA MADRE, CA (December 16, 2002 ) -- Ekartingnews.com, the premier karting news and information source, announced today a contingency sponsorship for all series and classes for the upcoming World Karting Association Daytona KartWeek, December 26-30 in Daytona, Florida.
"KartWeek is one of the largest annual karting events in the world, and it is certainly the most diverse," said Ekartingnews' Brian Stiver. "Ekartingnews covers all of karting, and with sprint racing, road racing, and oval racing with the WKA in Daytona, it only follows that we should help support the many hundreds of karters running the event."
Ekartingnews' contingency program it twofold -- winners of all classes who run supplied EKN sticker sets will receive a free EKN Driver UltraSite website for one year. "We believe the UltraSite is the single best driver promotional tool offered to karters," said Stiver. "For any karter who is looking for exposure or to draw sponsors, the UltraSites - with hyperlinks to Ekartingnews - gets that driver's name, activities, and sponsors the attention they need."
For the second offering in the contingency program, Ekartingnews will award 50 pair of Sparco karting gloves at random to drivers who run supplied EKN sticker sets. Sparco is the world leader in motorsports safety equipment and automotive products and the official racewear of Ekartingnews.
The entire sponsorship program is valued at $25,000.
"We are excited to have Ekartingnews as a sponsor for Daytona KartWeek," said WKA president Randy Kugler. "We hope this is a big first step in a long and mutually beneficial association between the WKA and EKN."
Racers will receive the EKN sticker sets at pre-tech as they prepare for their racing program.
