WHAT: The inaugural U.S. Sports Car Invitational is a Festival of Speed, with this year's featured invitees being Historic GT and GTP cars. Support races include the best historic and modern Porsches, as well as the final two rounds of the World SuperKart Challenge.

CARS: Historic GT and GTP: Some of the most popular racing in the last 20 years took place in the Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) and Grand Touring (GT) classes of the 1980's and early 1990's. It was an era when Porsche, Nissan, Jaguar, BMW, Mazda, Toyota and many others pulled out all the stops to win the prestigious IMSA Camel GT Championship. Fans can relive the glory days when GTP and GT cars, which have rarely been seen on the West Coast since the series' demise in 1993, return for a pair of races Saturday and Sunday.

Klub Sport Porsche Challenge is for specific historic Porsches. Eligible cars are the 2.0 liter Porsche 911 and the Porsche 914 up to 2.0 liters, and all Porsche 356 models. (www.klubsportracing.com)
World SuperKarts are powered by 250cc-motorcycle engines and feature aerodynamic bodywork and large downforce-producing rear wings. More than 40 drivers from 10 countries are entered, including former two-wheeled World Champions Wayne Rainey and Eddie Lawson. (www.worldsuperkart.com)
TICKETS:Super Tickets, which include general admission, open grandstand seating and Paddock access, are $25 for Friday, $30 for Saturday, $45 for Sunday, $50 for Saturday and Sunday, or $60 for all three days. EVENTS: Autograph Session - Drivers will take part in a free fan autograph session at the track on Sunday, from noon to 12:30 p.m., next to the Cruisin' Cafe in the Paddock.
Fan Party - Fans are invited to meet and mingle with the drivers in a special Friday night Fan Party, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Admission is $25 at the door and includes dinner and two beverages.
Brats & Brews - Sample micro brews and feast on Bratwurst in the Brats & Brews tent located in the Lakebed. Free Admission. Open from 9:00 a.m - 4:00 p.m.
