Matt Pritiko dominates Formula Senior, Di Leo clean sweeps two classes
SUTTON, ONTARIO -- The fourth round of the Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship presented by Toronto Star Wheels was held on Sunday, July 18th at 3S Go Karts in Sutton, Ontario. The Senior classes saw some new names at the top of the charts. Leading the charge was London's Matt Pritiko, who clean swept the headline Formula Senior Class. Justin Mascoll took his first win of the year in Canada Senior Heavy, while Corey Usher did the same in World Formula Senior. Marco Di Leo kept his winning streak in tact in RotaxMax Senior, and took the win in Canada Senior Light
Formula Senior - Cameron Motorsports Fast Qualifier; Matt Pritiko, London, Ontario London's Matt Pritiko made good on his pole position by taking charge of the pre-final -- he led every lap. In the final -- a brutal 25 laps of the tough Sutton track -- Pritiko again went from flag to flag to take his first Formula Senior win of the year. Behind him in the pre-final and final were Ottawa's Tyler Givogue and New Market's Mike Roth.
RotaxMax Senior - Cameron Motorsports Fast Qualifier; Marco Di Leo, Markham, Ontario Di Leo yet again clean swept the RotaxMax Senior class by taking pole, pre-final and final win. Behind Di Leo in the pre-final were Brampton's Trevor Daley and Pickering's Darryl Timmers. In the final, Windsor's Marc Stehle was second and Etobicoke's Robert Wickens was third.
World Formula Senior- Cameron Motorsports Fast Qualifier; Paul Carvalho, Gilford, Ontario Woodstock's Corey Usher made good on his front row starting spot -- off pole -- and took both the pre-final and final race wins. Polesitter Carvalho was second in both races, while Gilford's Adriano Bilotta was third in the pre-final and Simcoe's Don Cole was third in the final.
Canada Senior Heavy -- Cameron Motorsports Fast Qualifier; Justin Mascoll, Whitby, Ontario Leamington's Jennifer Rempel took the top spot in the pre-final ahead of Belle River's Dave Patrick and polesitter Mascoll. In the final, Mascoll made his way up to the top spot, while Uxbridge's Aaron de Heus came from fourth to finish second. Third was Rempel.
Canada Senior Light -- Cameron Motorsports Fast Qualifier; Marco Di Leo, Markham, Ontario Di Leo swept the Canada Senior Light class, but taking pole, pre-final and final win. Behind Di Leo in the pre-final were Pickering's Rob Oakman, and Markham's Sal Ditta. In the final, it was Ditta and Leamington's Jennifer Rempel rounding out the podium.
