MOSPORT, ONTARIO -- For the third straight year, Markham's Daniel Morad has claimed a class championship in the Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship presented by Toronto Star Wheels. "This is the one I wanted the most," Morad said after taking a second place in the final at Mosport. "The competition here this weekend was as tough as it gets, and our Maple Leaf Mortgages Birel was good, but a small technical problem in the final -- which actually started in the pre-final -- cost us the win."

With the win, Morad also sealed his third Formula Junior title of the year. One in WKA (World Karting Associaton), one in Snap-On Stars and now the Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship Presented by Toronto Star Wheels.

"This series gets tougher and tougher each year. I know next year -- when I am in Senior -- it will be even tougher, but I think our Maple Leaf Mortgages team will have good equipment. We will have some learning to do, but I am really looking forward to it."

Morad, has won at least one class championship in each of the three years that the Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship Presented by Toronto Star Wheels has been in existence. In 2002 he won the inaugural Canada Junior championship, then successfully defended that championship in 2003. Now he can add a Formula Junior Championship to his resume.

"It has been a dream year for us," Morad said. "There is still a little work left to do, but even if we stop now, it will have been a successful year for us."
