FIRSTKART.COM SET TO CONTEND IN SUNOCO RON FELLOWS KARTING CHAMPIONSHIP
"Competing with the best Ontario has to offer."
Guelph, ON. -- March 28, 2006 -- First Kart North America and the FirstKart.com race team is pleased to announce their participation in the 2006 edition of the Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship (SRFKC). FirstKart.com will have staff at every event to assist and ensure First Kart customers have the proper technical support to be at the front of the pack. First Kart North America will also have an ample amount of Dunlop, Bridgestone and Mojo Tires as well as spare parts available for all participants.
Always wanting to compete against the best Ontario has to offer, FirstKart.com will announce in the coming weeks, a stellar lineup including no less then two defending Canadian National Champions.
"The SRFKC crew puts on a good show week in and week out and they are always on top of their game," explained First Kart President Tony Ventresca. "The best racers in Ontario will be at SRFKC racing at the best facilities Ontario has to offer." Ventresca also went on to add, "With the competitiveness at the SRFKC, we are trying to convince some of our national level competitors to come out for a weekend and see how they stack up against Ontario's best karters. It should be a great season."
"What Sunoco and Ron Fellows do for Ontario karting is unprecedented. We travel to every major karting series and event in North America and the SRFKC is second to none," expressed Ventresca
The 2005 Super Kart Illustrated Team-of-the-Year is off to a good start this '06 season with Ontario drivers already claiming several race wins south of the border. Kevin Montieth along with Daniel Morad and Eric Gerrits claimed wins at Formula Kart's Florida Winter Tour. Along with those wins, Idaho's Brett Smrz claimed the Rotax Junior and Junior Intercontinental A (JICA) championships in convincing fashion. Morad and Smrz were not done there as both of those drivers claimed victories at the World Karting Association Manufactures Cup event in Charlotte, NC.
Along with the opening of a US location in Brownsburg, Indiana, 2006 is going to be an exciting year for the team. First Kart North America and the FirstKart.com race team will travel to all East and West coast events in the Stars of Karting Championship, the World Karting Association Manufactures Cup, the Florida Winter Tour and Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship. FirstKart.com will also travel to specials including the Rock Island Grand Prix and the Canadian National Championships. Arrive and Drive opportunities are available for any interested parties.
