(Gasoline Alley, IN)-Team Fury head and SuperPro pilot Joe Janowski announced the complete driver line-up for the 2001 SKUSA ProMoto Tour. Janowski will campaign the team's all-new GP chassis in the SuperPro division with a Shiftwerx Honda motor. Joining Team Fury and GP Karts in S1 are Colorado-native AJ Noud, Florida's Mishael Abbott and Oregon's Ronnie Swyers. Kyle Wiegand, the 2000 Barrie ProMoto winner, joins Fury in the 80cc Junior division.
Team Fury made an impressive 2001 debut at the Florida Winter Tour event with Janowski taking the pole and easily winning the event. Noud and Abbott finished the event in 7th and 11th places respectively. "Certainly the great results we had at Naples gave us a lot of confidence for the 2001 season," said Janowski.
Directing the team's racing efforts and managing the sales arm of Team Fury is Sean Mossgrove. Last season, Mossgrove was lead tuner for the Shifter Kart Illustrated Project ProMoto team. In addition, he worked extensively with Sean McIntosh, who finished third on the ProMoto Tour in the 80cc Junior division. "The team has the perfect balance of experience on the ProMoto Tour to generate really good results and great feedback as we develop the GP chassis to its full potential," added Mossgrove.
