James Kennedy Wins the S1 Class for Sodi Kart at SuperNationals

Boynton Beach, FL (November 19, 2006): Fifteen-year old Californian James Kennedy continued his run of success with the Sodi Racing USA team at this weekend's SKUSA SuperNationals in Las Vegas. In what was Kennedy's first ever shifter kart race he won the pole position, as well as winning two of three heat races (taking second in the other), and taking the ultimate victory in the final in the S1 class. It was truly a dominant performance that showed the team effort that Sodi Racing USA and James put in coming into the event, "I knew it wasn't going to be easy to come in here and compete in a shifter kart, where your driving style really changes from the direct-drive ICA karts I've been running in all year so we really stepped up our level of testing and preparation for this event and fortunately it paid off like it did. I've got to thank Sodi Kart for all of the faith they've put in me this season."

Sodi Kart owner Gildas Merian made the trip to the United States from his home base in France for the event to show support for Sodi Racing USA Team Manager Terry Lawrence. Lawrence has been working vehemently all season to establish the Sodi brand on the North American racing scene, as well as expanding the distribution network of Sodi Racing, "We've been able to experience some great success this season in the Stars of Karting series with James (Kennedy), Aaron Neliton, and Philippe Gelinas, and to be able to come to Las Vegas and get a victory like this I hope should answer any questions that anyone may have had about the quality of the Sodi brand." Sodi Kart also took the World Championship in the ICA Category last month at the CIK- FIA World Karting Championships in Angerville, France.

Sodi Racing USA would like to give a special thanks to Joce and DR. Tagliani with SRA Racing Engines for the best motors possible, Craig Labrocca at Douglas Wheel for providing a superior wheel, Jeff with Zoombang Impact Gear for proividing the best impact gear in the world and Todd at On Track Promotions for taking the best photos ever.

The next showcase event for Sodi Racing USA will be the Performance Racing Industry Show in Orlando December 14-16. Sodi Racing will field a team in the Stars of Karting's All Stars Karting Classic event to be held in conjunction with the show on the evening of Dec.14. The race will be televised on the Versus (OLN) Network and the Sodi team will consist of Sodi Racing USA regulars and high-profile guest drivers from other forms of motorsports to be named later. The PRI Show will also serve as a great venue for any parties interested in becoming Sodi Kart dealers as the brand expands its distribution network of racing karts across the United States.
