PSERRA RACING ENDS YEAR AT THE SKUSA SUPERNATIONALS
Birel kart racing team finishes off the 2009 season with strong runs in several classes as they look toward 2010

Stouffville, Ontario -- Pserra Racing recently returned home from Las Vegas with new experiences and new opportunities for the 2010 racing season. The Pserra Racing Team made good use of their Birel chassis and fielded one of the strongest Birel efforts at the SuperNationals. The Team hauler was setup in the paddock supporting a host of drivers running in several classes. The Pserra Racing Team saw action with four drivers running in four separate classes as the Birel backed team continue to build on the their successful 2009 season.

"We definitely had one of the best set-ups in the paddock," comments Peter Serravalle, owner of Pserra Racing. "Our goal was to make an impression and meet some new drivers that are looking to join our program for 2010. There is no better place to do that then the Super Nats. I want to thank our crew of Nathan Brown, Mike Roth, Darryl Dumais and Darren White for helping out."

Leading the team was Michael Vincec who is no stranger to international racing and running in the Super Pro class at the SuperNats. Vincec made good use of his Pserra Racing built ICC engine and he was able to make several strong charges forward on the field of 42 international drivers. Vincec was able to hold his own against several current World Champions as he learned the new track layout.

"The Pserra Racing engines department did a great job on our ICC engines," continues Serravalle. "We could run with the best of the European prepped engines that were there. ICC is a great class to show people what we know about engines. Back at the shop our engine department is currently concentrating on setting up our engine program for winter testing. Our customers will test and rent the latest engines including Pserra prepared Rotax engines."

In the Internationally competitive KF2 class, Federico Montoya struggled to find pace in his Birel debut at the Super Nats. Down slightly on power, the rookie KF2 pilot suffered from an engine failure that took him out of the final race. In TaG Senior Christopher Ernst made his Pserra Racing debut in the biggest and toughest field in Las Vegas. Ernst started the event running a Pserra Racing prepared Rotax power plant but like many drivers, had to switch to Leopard as the last minute track changes put the Rotax package at a major disadvantage. Switching to a rented Leopard left the team at a disadvantage heading into qualifying and the rounds of heats. Ernst came to grips with his Birel chassis, getting up to speed quickly and showcasing his ability to learn the TaG setup.

The only Junior in the tent, Spencer Todd got his first taste of action in not only TaG Junior but also at the SuperNats. With a tough row to hoe, Todd dug in and developed pace all weekend running into the top ten in several sessions. Making it into the final capped off a great effort and Todd was able to battle all race long, setting a quick pace early on and making a move to the front. Late race contact ended Todd's run forward, but all-in-all a great freshman outing for the junior pilot.

"Working in the three classes that were new to us, along with drivers that were new to the Birel chassis was a tough deal," comments Serravalle. "We knew that going in and we are happy with what we learned. The Birel chassis performed great and trying to build a great brand back to the top where it belongs is a challenge that we enjoy. As I said previously to be successful needs three components: team support, an engine program and finally a great chassis. Then we can see the driver really shine."

Pserra Racing are putting the final touches on the their 2010 programs and successfully used the 13th running of the SuperNationals to promote their exciting range of Arrive and Drive opportunities.
