SELINSGROVE, Pa. -- Due to inclement weather and saturated grounds, Selinsgrove Speedway officials canceled the race car flea market and practice session scheduled for Sat., March 15 as well as the season opener for go karts on Sun., March 16.

Selinsgrove Speedway will host the 2003 season opener for the Cindy Rowe Paintless Dent Repair sprint cars, MAPCO Machine Shop late models, Salem RV Center/Keller's Auto Body pro stocks and roadrunners on Sat., March 22 at 6 p.m.

Grandstand and pit gates will open at 4 p.m.

Selinsgrove Raceway Park's 2003 opener has been rescheduled for Sun., March 23 at 12 p.m. featuring go karts. Gates will open at 9 a.m.

The Middleswarth Potato Chips Susquehanna Valley 410 Sprint Car Series is slated to kick off on Friday, March 28 at 8 p.m. The 410 sprint cars will be joined by the pro stocks.

The sprint car feature will be 25 laps in distance and will pay $2,500 to win. The event will pay $250 to start the race.

Track officials announced a $300 bonus will be awarded if a pro stock driver wins both of the weekend's scheduled feature events on March 28 and the next night on March 29. Gates will open at 6 p.m.
