11.08.2010 - As announced last week, WKA's Speedway Dirt program is experiencing a number of positive changes heading into 2011 with an eye on returning the tour to prominence in America's dirt-karting arena.

Another exciting change comes this week with the announcement that Firestone has become the new WKA Speedway Dirt Program title sponsor for the 2011 season, which kicks off with this December's Dirt World Championships at Daytona Int'l Speedway.

Firestone replaces Briggs & Stratton Motorsports as the series' backer.

The Dirt tour, now tagged the Firestone Speedway Dirt Program, boasts a four-race slate in a brand-new Road to Daytona format with national events in Daytona, Tennessee, Pennsylvania and South Carolina.
