Spring Run, PA_ As kart riders practiced for the Saturday Night Finale at the Path Valley Speedway Park, in the last Burris Racing sponsored daytime race of the season, Charlie Walter of Hollidaysburg emerged the big winner with first place finishes in both the Jr. Restricted class and the Jr. Stock class.
The non-points event saw several first time riders including Craig Reichenbach of Liverpool who won his first Path Valley feature in the extra heavy karts.
The karts season ends with the annual Saturday Night Finale, which will be the only karts night race on the Path Valley clay, which retains its moisture after sunset, and the fastest laps of the season are anticipated as top kart riders from throughout the region gather.
Payback is 75 percent of entry fee for senior divisions and 50 percent for junior classes. All classes with more than 10 entries will race 25 laps and those with fewer entries will race 15 laps. Sponsored overall by Burris Racing, the tire rule is waived except for Champ classes and WKA rules will apply.
The Path Valley Speedway Park is located in Spring Run PA a mile north on PA Route 641 from the intersection with PA Route 75, halfway between Port Royal and Hagerstown.
