Spring Run, PA_ The final rain make-up stock car event of the season at Path Valley Speedway Park has rained out. The noon race for the Pepsi Night V-8 Street Stock $500 to Win make-up that had rained out four times before, along with rain make-up features for the mini stocks and the four-cylinder thunder cars have all been cancelled because heavy overnight rains made the track too wet to race on. The Saturday evening Kart Season Finale with gates open at 4 p.m. remained likely to be raced as track workers struggled to pack the Path Valley clay. Those already qualified for the three often-rained-out stock car make-up features should consult the track^Òs website at www.pathvalley.com later in the week for additional information, Promoter Ken Geesey advised. A few tickets remain available at the track for the annual awards banquet Nov. 23 at the Pleasant Hall Fire Company. Doors open at 3 p.m. for the kart and quad awards, followed by the dinner, with doors opening at 5 p.m. for sprint and stock car teams and the stock car and sprint awards following the catered feast by Dodies. DJ Phantom Shadow, famed for last season^Òs dancing sprint car drivers, will entertain following the awards.
