Path Valley top Kart wins to teens Kuhns, Burkholder and Dalesio.

Spring Run, PA_ Teenagers dominated the senior Burris Racing kart classes at Path Valley Speedway Park June 22 with wins for Garrett Kuhns of Sinking Spring in the Lites, Andy Burkholder of Chambersburg in Mediums and Matt Dalesio of Imler in Heavys.

The regular karts and quads feature wins for the four-wheelers went to Dane Delancey of Port Royal in two-strokes and Cory Buhrman of Upper Strasburg in four-strokes as they raced ahead of a large field on hand for the evening's AMA bike and quads races.

Among the youngest karters Alex Benda of Williamsport MD continued to control the Jr. Sportsman II class as he prepared for the following day's state championship series races with the PDKA for Burris National Speedway Series points and the state titles. Benda went on Sunday to win his third of three races on the books to date.

Next Saturday afternoon, June 29, the regular Burris Racing kart and quad races also include a motor race for a new Briggs engine. All 'boxstock' karts that can make a 345-pound minimum weight may enter the motor race. Karts and Quads are scheduled every Saturday in July with gates open at 10 a.m. Sunday July 27 is the Summer Kart Nationals at Path Valley for lites, mediums and heavies.

The Path Valley Speedway Park is located in Spring Run PA a mile north on PA Route 641 from the intersection with PA Route 75, halfway between Port Royal and Hagerstown. It is five miles east from the Willow Hill Exit 14 of the PA Turnpike. The new phone number at the track for promoter Ken Geesey is 717-349-7111.
