South Beloit, IL - Nationally ranked S-1 shifter pilot, Marc Miller, turned in dominant performances at this weekend's MG Tires/Championship Enduro Series and SSC Pro Shifter Series events at Blackhawk Farms Raceway in South Beloit, IL.

Miller stood atop the podium both Saturday and Sunday after successfully piloting his MG Tire shod CTS chassis past a field of top ranked road racing shifter drivers. His combined margin of victory for both races was a narrow .26 seconds.

"It was a great feeling to win a race again," said Miller. "I want to give a huge thanks to PSL Karting for building me a fantastic TM 125. We were the only TM in the field both days out of a number of Hondas, it performed flawlessly."

Saturday found Miller on the pole by over .15 seconds. He took the lead at the drop of the green flag and quickly realized he had a great set-up for the race. Miller settled into a pack of four to five fast drivers, saving the motor and tires until he would need them the most. With two laps remaining, Miller began to work his way to the front, finally taking the lead for good with one lap remaining edging out a strong charging Tim Koutny at the line by .084 seconds.

A rare driving error in qualifying relegated Miller to the back of the SSC Pro Shifter Series field during Sunday's morning qualifying session. When the green flag dropped for the start of the Pro S-1 race, however, Miller quickly and efficiently worked his way to the front of the pack. The lead pack of seven karts ran nose to tail the entire 25-minute race with over 25 unofficial lead changes. As the laps wound down it was clear that this would be a race of strategy, the kind at which Miller excels.

"That was without a doubt one of the most nerve racking races I have been in. We ran extremely quick times throughout the race and all the lead drivers, although aggressive, gave each other room to race," said Miller. "We basically were all playing a game of chess out there and luckily I was able to position myself for checkmate the best."

Miller seized the lead with a last corner pass as the field spread out five-wide behind him in a failed attempt to reel in the powerful PSL TM 125 of Miller. The elated driver celebrated his win with a series of "Zanardi-esque" victory donuts, winding out his motor loud enough for everyone in the paddock to hear.

"In addition to my sponsors, PSL Racing Engines, MG Tires, AIM Sportsystems, DeCal Works, MMP Design, Shiftsport Promotions, SKI Magazine, Intense Karting Imports and T2 RaceKarts, I would also like to thank Tim Blaney and his sponsors, Molly Maid, Mr. Handyman and 1-800-DRYCLEAN for their help all weekend. Because of them, the chassis and kart preparation was impeccable. I am dedicating these victories to both my wife Jackie and to my grandfather, Tony. I love you both very much." Miller added.
