Shock Doctor to Award All Podium Finishers at Snap-on Stars of Karting National Finals

Seattle, Washington - The Snap-on Stars of Karting is pleased to have Shock Doctor and Patrick Long Motorsports join the patron list for the Snap-on Stars of Karting National Finals held on a temporary circuit at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway October 10 - 12, 2008. Shock Doctor and Patrick Long Motorsports will provide all 30 podium finishers with first-class prizes totaling in excess of $5,000.00.

With a great love for the sport of karting, American driver Patrick Long wanted to give back to the sport that helped launch his career. Now a front runner for the Penske-Porsche team in the American Le Mans Series, Patrick Long Motorsports and Shock Doctor aim to help a group of aspiring racing drivers as Long returns to his roots of karting. Joe Parkin, Marketing Services Director for Shock Doctor commented. "We were very pleased when Patrick approached us with the idea of supporting the Stars of Karting. Being involved with this great series together with Patrick Long is a truly great opportunity for Shock Doctor." Patrick Long himself echoed the comments, "I'm really happy to be getting back to being involved in karting - it's where I got my education as a racer, and a fantastic environment in which to compete. Shock Doctor asked me how we could work together more closely in the karting market, and my mind went back to my early days in racing. Ba! ck then, sometimes we won skateboarding decks in addition to our trophies, so it was really cool to win something out of the ordinary - I think that Shock Doctor's products are both very cool and very useful for everyday use in racing. Karting is the closest and most physical racing around, and in my opinion is demands as much from a driver as any type of racecar. I'm looking forward to mixing it up with some familiar faces and the next generation at the finale in Vegas. I'm excited to give a little something back to the community that gave me my start, and I'm proud to do it with my sponsor, Shock Doctor."

Shock Doctor Products are available for a variety of different sports in addition to racing, including soccer, football, rugby, baseball and martial arts. A growing area of their product line can be found in the motorsports division where a host of different products have been designed to suit the needs of drivers and crew in the world of racing. From sports bags to power dry systems, Shock Doctor have every racer's needs covered.

The winner of each final for all classes will receive a SD Power Dry HANS Helmet Bag with Patrick Long woven label and PowerDry Blower while runner up finishers will get an SD power dry medium ballistic multisport bag with Patrick Long woven label and power dry blower. Each and every third place podium winner will receive a Patrick Long signature edition backpack, which is a new product that is currently in production. Series President Paul Zalud is delighted to see Shock Doctor and Patrick Long Motorsports involved in the nation's premier karting series. "To have such a first-class company like Shock Doctor, and one of America's bright young talents in Patrick Long team up to support drivers from each and every one of our classes at our season finale is great for our competitors and our series as a whole. I hope this can be the first step in a great relationship with Shock Doctor."

The Snap-on Stars of Karting National Finals will take place October 10 - 12, 2008 on a temporary circuit inside the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and crown National Champions in the five classes of the series.
