On the last race day of the season at The Greenwood Valley Action Track, located near Millville, Pa, it was cold, there was a hint of snow flurry in the air, and there was another exciting card of racing. In micro sprint 270cc action Todd Hoover, Mt. Pleasant Mills, was the happy winner of the last feature contest of the season. In the second spot was Brian Kishbaugh, Nescopeck, followed by Eric Heydenreich, Bloomsburg and Chad Thomas, New Berlin. In the fifth place was Shane Penny, Nescopeck, sixth was Steve Lenig, Selinsgrove, seventh was Jason Rice, New Tripoli and in eighth place was Colby Womer, Mt. Pleasant Mills. Wrapping up the top ten were Greg Spangler, Wapwallopen and Kevin Nolf, Nazareth.

The evening was capped by the second figure eight race in as many weeks, back by popular demand, won by Armand Stackhouse, Rohrsburg. Next year we may see some more of the figure 8 action, though not on the same nights as the traditional dirt oval races for micros and karts.

The Greenwood Valley Action Track would like to thank all of the fans, the publications, the radio stations and everyone who helped to make the 2001 season a success. Our next race will be "Bug Nite", scheduled for the last Saturday in March. Tickets are still available for the Appreciation Banquet to be held on Friday, November 9th, at 7:00 at the Jerseytown Community Center. Ticket sales will wrap up this Wednesday, the 31st. Hurry to get your tickets, the party is a great one featuring the awarding of the points winners trophies and many prizes for everyone. Until next year, when, once again, we'll see you at The Action Track.
