David Ostella returns to action this coming weekend as the Florida Winter Tour resumes at Moroso Motorsport Park. Now fully recovered from an injury suffered at SuperNationals, the Canadian teenager will be making his second career ProShifter start and admits to be heading in with an increased comfort level.

"I feel a little different now that I've raced the Maranello," Ostella said of the Cameron/Swedetech package he debuted at Homestead. "I'm more comfortable and think I can be one of the top runners." The feeling will definitely be different, as at the opening round Ostella and tuner/coach Mike Roth had next to nothing in terms of data to work from. Obviously unable to test in the Canadian winter, the longtime pairing were fresh from the truck on opening day, yet made the most of it in nearly snagging a podium.

At the opening event, Ostella got a great start to the Winter Tour when he finished seventh on his debut and followed with fourth on Sunday. The points haul led to third overall in the championship exiting Homestead, but the rookie senior shifter pilot doesn't let his head get in the clouds. "The goal is to just keep clean and improve over the weekend," he said as he departed for Moroso and the second event. "My goal is a top five. I do look at the points, but I just work to stay in both races and finish, especially as we work in the new kart."
