This weekend sees the conclusion of the first ever CIK-FIA European Rotax MAX Karting Championship and Adrian Estasy is hoping to be in contention for the round win.

This fourth and final round of the championship is at the Braga circuit in Portugal and Estasy, who currently holds fifth in the point score, is hoping a strong result will elevate his standing in the series.

Estasy has been one of the front runners in the series but some bad luck has prevented him from tasting victory or scoring a podium placing. He is hoping to end his campaign with a strong showing in Portugal. "If I can get a good result at the end, I'm sure I can get in the top three of the Championship" he said.

Despite being a little off the ultimate pace at the previous round in Austria, Estasy will continue to use the same technical package as before. "Everything is pretty much the same" he said. "All I can do is just do what I've always been doing -- go as fast as I can".

Currently based and working in England, he rates his chances of doing well as 'high'. "All I need is a bit of a break. We've shown so many times during the championship what we can do, but have nothing to show for it."

The number of entries for Portugal is down a little on previous rounds, however this will not help Estasy as all the serious contenders will still be there. In fact, one of his main rivals will be Arrow team mate Scott Auld who has been drafted into the team for the last round.

Regular updates will be posted as news comes in from Portugal.
