FIVE ROUND CIK CHAMPIONSHIP FOR 2008
The International Karting Council would like to advise that the 2008 Australian CIK Championship will take place over five rounds in three states.
After several years on the sidelines, Australia's 'elite' series will make a return next year with all drivers using an IAME Parilla Reedster 125cc engines in KF2 (formerly Intercontinental A) trim.
Newcastle will have the honour of hosting the opening round of the Championship on April 5/6 before the series heads North a month later to Ipswich for the first of two rounds in the Sunshine State.
The Central New South Wales circuit of Dubbo first hosted a round of the CIK Championship in 2003, round three of the 2008 series will be held at the fast, flowing venue on June 14/15.
South Australia's premier venue, Bolivar Raceway, will host the penultimate round of the series on September 13/14.
The final round is scheduled for Toowoomba in Queensland on the third weekend of October, one week before the state's biggest motor racing event, the Gold Coast Indy 300. <pre> 2008 AUSTRALIAN CIK CHAMPIONSHIP SCHEDULE
