NATIONALS TO BE BEAMED AROUND THE WORLD

In a first for Australian karting, this weekend's 47th National Sprint kart Championships sponsored by Yamaha to be held at the Sun City Raceway in Townsville, Queensland will be streamed live across the internet.

The Townsville Kart club, AKA QLD and nqsport.net have teamed with Streaming Australia to beam the action from Sunday's Championship Finals across the globe.

The video telecast will begin at 8:30am (AEST) on Sunday 12 April and is a pay per view situation with the cost being US$10 (approx AU$14). It is recommended that viewers will need a minimum 512k connection to ensure smooth streaming throughout the day.

In addition to the video telecast the track commentary for the qualifying, heat races and pre-finals will be available free of charge thanks to the team at Streaming Australia.

To book for this first time karting experience book and pay for your connection at www.streamingaustralia.com.au/live.asp . Subscribers will also be able to test their computer speed and bandwidth prior to signing up on this page.

The Australian Karting Association and AKA Queensland will be monitoring the support shown by viewers and listeners for this Event to assist with the streaming of future Events across the country.

There will be regular updates from the Sun City Raceway throughout the Event on the official AKA website www.karting.net.au.

Qualifying for the Event will be held on Friday followed by heat races and pre-finals in Saturday. The Championship Finals will be contested on Sunday.
