ARNOLD'S KARTING CENTER HOSTS FALL RACING LEAGUE BANQUET Oaks, PA., November 26, 2000 - Arnold's Formula "E" Karting Center hosted its third annual Fall Racing League Banquet on Thursday evening, November 6th at Arnold's in Oak, PA. The event honored Class Champions for the Lightweight and Heavyweight divisions. The Lightweight Championship went to Jude Stephenson of Darby, PA. Jimmy McCallion of Berlin, NJ captured this year's Heavyweight Championship. Stephenson has been a perennial Champion in the Lightweight division with this year's second and third places going to Kevin Bligan and Lloyd Gottshall, respectively. The Heavyweight Championship came down to the wire on the final night of competition. It was a hotly contested battle between Jimmy McCallion, Steve Folk and Paul Moyer. MacCallion came out on top with Moyer following for second, barely edging out Folk who finished third in the final tally.

Special awards were presented to Heavyweight rookie of the league, Steve Hoagland and the Lightweight rookie, Marc Francy. Most Improved Driver awards were presented to Robert Shafer in the Heavyweight class and to Martin Atrides in the Lightweight class. The Dick Cook Memorial Sportsmanship awards were presented to Joe Homan in the Lightweight division and Brad Convis in the Heavyweight class. After the evening's dinner and the presentation ceremonies, the league members participated in their third semi-annual Dick Cook Memorial Race, a competition that most of the banquet attendees participate in. The event recognizes the late Dick Cook who was a consistent league competitor who exemplified sportsmanship and respect for his fellow competitors. The race was won in two segments with Andrew Damiani winning in the first segment and Warren Stradley taking second.

The Arnold's Winter League begins on Thursday, January 25th, 2001 and runs through Thursday, March 22. Entrants for the Winter League must qualify by Thursday, January 18th, 2001 in order to be eligible to race on the 25th. Entry fees are $350.00 in advance or $400.00 if paid over a five-week program of $80.00 weekly. The entry fee includes admission to the Awards Banquet and participation in the Dick Cook Memorial Race that will be held on Thursday, March 22nd, 2001.
