GEOFF BOSS MOVES TO INDY LIGHTS FOR 1997 Will Drive for Team Medlin Racing

Narragansett, RI: Leading Barber-Dodge Pro Series competitor Geoff Boss has signed to drive with Team Medlin Racing for the 1997 CART PPG Firestone Indy Lights season. Boss, 27, from Narragansett, RI will compete with sponsorship from returning sponsors, A.T. Cross Company, Omniglow Corporation, Boarder Patrol Sportswear and Midway Airlines.

"Obviously, Indy Lights represents a tremendous opportunity for me," said Boss. "With new cars, new drivers and a deep contingent of entries, it seems certain that the Indy Lights series is going to be exceptional, both for fans and drivers, in 1997."

A three-time Formula Ford Champion, Boss was runner-up champion in the 1995 Barber-Dodge Pro Series, just missing the championship by a narrow margin in the final event of the year. He returned to the Barber-Dodge Pro Series in 1996 where he persevered through a string of early season mechanical problems to finish strong with two wins and five top-5 finishes propelling him to 6th place in the final standings.

Team Medlin Racing was founded in 1995 by former Rahal-Hogan Team Coordinator, Steve Medlin. His experience with the 1992 CART IndyCar Champions motivated him to form his own successful Indy Lights team.

"With Geoff's proven wins in Barber-Dodge, I knew he would be quick and in our first test he was up to speed much quicker than anticipated," said team owner Steve Medlin. "Even with the tough competition expected, I'm optimistic that we can achieve our goal in 1997 with our program- win races!"

Boss sponsor Omniglow Corporation is the world's leading marketer and manufacturer of "unique" chemical light products. They have selected Geoff Boss' motorsports program to promote their full line of automotive safety lighting products. A.T. Cross Company returns and will continue to promote their successful line of premium quality writing instruments. Boarder patrol produces and manufactures a line of sportswear snowboarding clothing in Boulder, Colorado. Midway Airlines has the newest, most advance jet fleet of any U.S. airline. From their Raleigh/Durham hub, Midway serves more than 22 east coast cities, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Cancun, Mexico.

Geoff Boss is represented by veteran motorsport marketing agency Mackey Marketing Group, Inc.
