P.J. Chesson was fined an undisclosed amount of money and stripped of 25 championship points after Indy Racing League officals determined that Chesson was responsible for debris on the backstretch on lap 58 of the 67 lap Texas 100 Menards Infiniti Pro Series race.

Chesson, who lost the lead draft late in the race, reported the debris. Race officials became suspicious when the debris was found to have come from Chesson's car.

Chesson finsihed fifth in today's race. Losing 25 points dropped the Far Hill, NJ driver from third to fourth in the championship standings. Arie Luyendyk Jr., who finished fourth, moved up one spot to third in the championship standings.
