(Milwaukee, WI) April 25, 2005 - Third-generation driver Marco Andretti will compete at The Milwaukee Mile in the IRL Menards Infiniti Pro Series 100-mile race on Sunday, July 24. He follows father Michael and grandfather Mario, both winners in Indy cars at the historic speedway.

The Milwaukee 100 is one of six series races in 2005 the 18 year-old Andretti will compete in. He won his series debut April 3 at the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg driving the for his father's Andretti/Green Racing team.

"This is a great opportunity for Marco and exciting for the whole family," Michael Andretti said. "He was so impressive with the way that he raced in St. Petersburg with all the pressure and expectations that were on him. I just think it's good for him to get as much experience as he can right now, and running five different courses like this over the rest of the season in these cars is going to be really good for him."

Andretti will also compete in two races at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, one on the 2.5 mile oval on the Indianapolis 500 weekend, and on the speedway's road course in conjunction with the Formula 1 U.S. Grand Prix event. Added to the budding star's schedule are the road course events at Infineon Raceway and Watkins Glen International.

"Obviously, I'm pretty excited about everything," said Andretti, who will graduate from high school next month. "Getting the opportunity to run at Indy twice in a month is pretty unbelievable. I don't think any of us really expected St. Pete to go as well as it did for us, but it did, so I'm glad we're going to get a chance to get back out there this year and try to do it again."

Andretti won 11 races last season, claiming the Formula TR Pro Series title.

Marco will try for Andretti family win number 10 at The Milwaukee Mile. Grandfather Mario has won four open wheel championship races at the historic speedway, twice in 1966, one in 1967 and again in 1985. Papa Michael has recorded five championship race victories in 1986, 1987, 1991, 1992 and 1996 at America's Legendary Oval.

The Menards Infiniti Pro Series, formed in 2002, is the premier ladder series in the Indy Racing League, developing drivers for the IndyCar® Series, America's top open-wheel racing series.
