HOMESTEAD, Fla., Saturday, March 5, 2005 -- In qualifying for the Menards Infinti Pro Series Homestead-Miami 100, Travis Gregg claimed the second pole position of his career with a lap of 28.2474 seconds, 189.256 mph in the No. 7 Lucas Oil Products-Sam Schmidt Motorsports Dallara/Infiniti Firestone.

The Homestead-Miami 100 is scheduled for noon (EST) Sunday. It will be telecast at 4 p.m. (EST) on March 17 on ESPN2.

JAIME CAMARA (No. 1 CELG -- Sam Schmidt Motorsports Dallara/Infiniti/ Firestone): "It's good to be starting in the second position, but it's not what I expected. But, it's good. It's going to be a great race. I've got a good car. I'm going to do my best to be fighting for the win. I've got to think about the race and put myself in situations that can happen and be prepared for them. The race is not going to be easy, but it's going to be good."

TRAVIS GREGG (No. 7 Lucas Oil Products/Sam Schmidt Motorsports Dallara/Infiniti/Firestone): "I knew we had a fast car, but any time you go for qualifying, anything can happen, you get nervous. I just wanted to try to minimize my mistakes out there in the qualifying run, do what I did in practice. It seemed to work for practice. We were fast. We ended up being on top of the qualifying order. Now, we'll gear up for the race tomorrow and work towards our first victory. I think it's going to be hard to pass. We've got a pretty strong car, so if I can get out front and not make any mistakes to give any of the guys behind us a chance to pass, then I think we'll be right there."

CHRIS FESTA (No. 19 SpacePak/CareCentric/SSM Dallara/Infiniti/Firestone): "That run didn't go nearly as well as we were hoping. I screwed up in the morning warm-up and crashed our car, so we had to go to a backup. We didn't have enough time to put our setup on the car, so this is an off-the-trailer car. There was so much push in the thing. It just pushed straight up the track. There wasn't much I could do at that point."

NICK BUSSELL (No. 21 JL West Motorsports Dallara/Infiniti/Firestone): "It was pretty good for my first race and the team's first race. I really couldn't have run any better. We were hoping for the first two rows based on how practice went. The car was pretty good. Everything worked flawlessly. We need to get a little more speed out of it, but other than that, we're good to go."

MISHAEL ABBOTT (No. 42 Hemelgarn Johnson Motorsports Dallara/Infiniti/Firestone): "That was my fastest lap of the weekend, so I'm really excited. Our expectation for the weekend is to just finish the race. Our goal as a team is to complete every lap that we put the car out there, finish the race and do well."
