Munoz is today's race winner of the Auto Club Speedway Foundation 100. This marks his second win of the 2012 season and his fifth podium finish in his first season driving for Andretti Autosport.

"It was a very nice race today from the beginning to end. I had a fantastic car and have to thank my Andretti Autosport crew for that. They have worked very hard this whole weekend. It is great to finish the season with a win. I think this has been a pretty good year of learning. I have to thank my family, all of my sponsors and Colombia for their support. It is unfortunate what happened to Sebastian (Saavedra) on the first lap because we could have had a really nice race between us."

Sebastian Saavedra, Team AFS Racing / Andretti Autosport, No. 27

Saavedra qualified on the pole for today's Auto Club Speedway Foundation 100, but finished 14th due to a mechanical failure with the gearbox. He will now race in tonight's MAVTV500 in the No. 17 AFS Racing/Andretti Autosport machine.

"This was a very disappointing way of ending the season. I know how much effort my AFS Racing/Andretti Autosport team has put into it. We have been working very hard in both Firestone Indy Lights and INDYCAR, but that is racing I guess. It is unfortunate, but we have to keep our heads up because we still have another race and 500 miles is a long way to go. Right now, all of our energy is focused on that. It is all ab out INDYCAR and our future together."
