Justin looking forward to turning right at Watkins Glen

Justin and Newman/Haas/Lanigan Racing encounter their eighth new track of the season when they arrive at Watkins Glen International for this weekend's Camping World Grand Prix at the Glen. This will be their first time on a road or street course with the Dallara IndyCar chassis since the St Petersburg race in April where Justin qualified 3rd. Five of the next eight IndyCar Series races are on road or street courses and Justin is eager to make his mark on the second half of the season.

"I'm looking forward to driving the McDonald's car on a road course again," said Justin. "It will be good to turn left and right; it's what we're used to. Before we went to St. Pete we hadn't had a chance to run the car more than a few laps on a road circuit, but the car was quick and I was pleased with the result in qualifying. With a bit more luck with the strategy we could have had a much better result, but generally we were pleased with the progress we made."

The team has had no opportunities to test on a road course since then and the 11 turn, 3.4 mile track presents some different challenges to St Petersburg's twisty street circuit. "The Glen is a higher speed track and the aerodynamics are more important here than at St. Pete, but hopefully we can have the same kind of performance," said Justin. "I've driven the track in computer and simulator games and I'm looking forward to the real thing. The elevation changes and the high speed corners should be a lot of fun. We've still got some work to do, but I'm hoping we will be up there fighting for pole position."

Fans have been seeing a lot of Justin in the central New York area in the run up to the race. Coca-Cola and McDonald's have created over 400,000 commemorative cups featuring Justin and his No. 02 McDonald's race car which have been used with promotional tray liners in 95 restaurants in the area. He'll also be busy this weekend with promotional work at the track.
