HVM Racing Watkins Glen International Speedway Fast Facts:

This weekend HVM Racing will make their first start at Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International for Sunday's Camping World Grand Prix at The Glen. It will also mark E.J. Viso's first start at the track. This is the 10th event on the 17-race IRL IndyCar Series schedule.

The team finished 10th last weekend at the Richmond (Va.) International Raceway. It was their fourth top-10 finish of the season and fourth consecutive finish in the top-15.

HVM Racing and the No. 33 PDVSA HVM Honda Dallara moved into the 12th position in Entrant Point Standings after Richmond. Driver E.J. Viso is also 12th in driver standings. Both are only 15 points out of the 10th position.

Watkins Glen International will be the first road course event of the IndyCar season. HVM Racing finished fourth earlier this year on the streets of St. Petersburg (Fla.) in the only other non-oval race of the season.

Driver E.J. Viso is currently third in chase for the 2008 Bombardier Rookie of The Year title. He is only nine points behind second place Will Powers.

HVM Racing Riding Momentum Into Watkins Glen
Top-10 at Richmond Prepares Team for Mid-Season Charge

Comments from team owner Keith Wiggins heading into Watkins Glen:

"I don't think I'm alone when I say that we're ready to get to Watkins Glen. Richmond was a tough race on everyone and we were one of the more fortunate ones. Ernesto brought the car home safely and recovered some positions from earlier races. It gives us some momentum, especially going into a place like Watkins Glen where we feel more comfortable.

"We have recent background and experience on road courses and so I think that's where you're going to see a lot of 'transition' teams perform well. I think Watkins Glen will be a more balanced race. I'm confident that we can run up front based on our success in the past and our finish earlier this season at St. Petersburg.

"Watkins Glen gives us that opportunity to make a mid-season run at the top-10 into the championship run. We have goals before this season ends. Winning is the ultimate goal, but being a top team that came into the IndyCar Series this season is an important one too. The guys on this team are working hard as anyone. We are optimistic this weekend."

Comments from team driver E.J. Viso heading into Watkins Glen:

"I'm really looking forward to Watkins Glen. My experience has been racing on road courses, and we already know that, as a team, we run well on them. St. Petersburg, if it wasn't for some cautions, I think we could have challenged for the win. So, yea, there is a lot of optimism going into this race.

"We just have to keep working hard and race smart. We did that at Richmond. We were one of the few teams that came out ahead. Watkins Glen is going to be a different challenge, but one that we're happy about. I think we can continue to climb up the standings this weekend.

"It's time to make that charge into the top-10 in points. We are really close now. We've got another road course and street course this month. The guys are smiling about that. I am too."
