Justin qualifies 23rd at Texas Motor Speedway

Justin qualified a disappointed 23rd for Saturday night's Bombardier Learjet 550k at Texas Motor Speedway. The No. 02 McDonald's car recorded a four-lap average speed of 210.160 mph around the 1.5-mile oval (L1: 209.832, L2: 210.167, L3: 210.291, L4: 210.351). Justin's Newman/Haas/Lanigan Racing team-mate Graham Rahal fared a little better (211.128 mph) and will start the race from 18th. Chip Ganassi Racing's Scott Dixon took pole position (214.878 mph).

"We were flat out and trying to run the line of least resistance," said Justin. "I'm a little bit disappointed; I was hoping the McDonald's car would be a little bit quicker than that, but we have proven on many occasions that we are much better in the race than we are in qualifying so hopefully we'll do better tomorrow."

The 228-lap race begins at 8:30 p.m. CDT on Saturday. TV coverage in the US is on ESPN2 at 10 p.m. EDT and coverage in the UK is through Sky Sports 1 at 3 a.m. BST on Sunday (and again at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Sky Sports Xtra). Live audio and video streaming is available through www.indycar.com and the race will also be broadcast live on IMS Radio Network and XM Radio 145.
