MARCO ANDRETTI, #26 TEAM VENOM ENERGY DRINK CAR
"I was disappointed that we weren't able to race today, but it's all about fan safety and we'll hope for better in the morning. Rain or shine I think the Venom car is ready to race. It's good to start where we are on the grid, especially with the possibility of a wet start, but even in the dry track position is still going to be key. We struggled a bit in warm-up this morning, but I think were making the right decisions for the race and we should be in good shape for a strong finish."
RYAN HUNTER-REAY, #37 TEAM IZOD CAR
"The biggest disappointment is for the fans. There was a great crowd here today and it's too bad that they couldn't see us race. To have them all out here and then ask them to come back out tomorrow is a big disappointment for us. IZOD has done a lot of off-season promotion and it has really ramped up to this U.S. race debut. But, nonetheless, things are going great; the series is very healthy. We'll come back and race on Monday. It's not a big deal."
TONY KANAAN, #11 TEAM 7-ELEVEN CAR
"The only disappointment for us today is that we didn't get to put on a show for the fans that were here. But, it was nobody's fault. It was Mother Nature. We had to think about fan safety and it was just too dangerous with the lightning to have fans sitting in the stands. Hopefully, we'll see some of them back here tomorrow and then again next year when we race - on a Sunday."
DANICA PATRICK, #7 TEAM GoDaddy.com CAR
"It's unfortunate for the fans that the race was postponed, but I think they made the right decision. One benefit with us racing tomorrow is its going to give me and my engineers some more time to work on fine-tuning the race strategy for the GoDaddy car."
