TEAM KOOL GREEN AT THE CLEVELAND GRAND PRIX

PAUL TRACY, #26 Team KOOL Green Reynard/Honda/Firestone: (Started 10th / Finished 7th at Cleveland in 1997; Currently 13th in PPG Cup standings with 32 points)

"It's been a tough season, but I'm optimistic heading to Cleveland because it's one of my favorite tracks. I've had some success there (winning from the pole in 1993), and I think we have a setup that suits a high-speed circuit like Cleveland. Plus, the team is in a good rhythm coming off a couple of productive tests at Michigan and Mid-Ohio since the last race in Portland."

DARIO FRANCHITTI, #27 Team KOOL Green Reynard/Honda/Firestone: (Started 11th / Finished 11th in Cleveland in 1997; Currently 8th in PPG Cup standings with 50 points)

"I enjoy racing at Cleveland, though physically it is a very difficult track. I'm certain the race will be the toughest yet this season. But we have a good handle on the car and if we can stay focused throughout the weekend, we should do well. It felt fantastic to lead the race at Portland and now I'd really like to finish the job and get my first win. Why not Cleveland?"

NAOKI HATTORI, #27 Team KOOL Green Lola (PPG-Dayton Indy Lights Championship): (First start in Cleveland; Currently 12th overall with 26 points)

"This will be my first time racing at Cleveland, so I don't quite know what to expect. My teammates have been very helpful by telling me about their experiences at the track. And I like fast circuits and Cleveland is certainly that."

ALEX GURNEY, #27 Team KOOL Green Reynard Dodge (Barber Dodge Pro Series)

"I'm definitely looking forward to Cleveland because none of the drivers have raced there before (it's the series' first visit), so there shouldn't be an advantage for the guys who have been racing in the series for a few years. That should level the playing field some. We sorted quite a few things out at the last race at Watkins Glen. So I'm looking at Cleveland as a race where I can score some big points and jump-start my season."
