Justin qualifies 3rd for São Paulo Indy 300

Justin has qualified 3rd for today's São Paulo Indy 300 which takes place in a couple of hours time. He was quick all morning, both in the practice session to evaluate the successful changes to the concrete start-finish straight and in all three of the qualifying sessions that the IZOD IndyCar Series uses for road and street course events.

Qualifying session 1 split the cars into two groups of 12 and Justin posted the quickest time in his group (1:28.2275). In the second qualifying session he was 2nd fastest out of the 12 cars involved with a quick lap of 1:27.6179. In the final session, the Firestone Fast Six, the top 3 were separated by less than a tenth of a second. Justin managed 7 laps in the No. 22 Z-Line Designs machine and posted his best time (1:27.8182) on the final lap.

Dario Franchitti took pole position for Chip Ganassi Racing (1:27.7354) and he will be joined on the front row by Alex Tagliani (1:27.7676) from new entrant FAZZT Race Team. Justin will have Andretti Autosports' Ryan Hunter-Reay alongside him on the second row of the grid. Will Power (Team Penske) and Tony Kanaan (Andretti Autosport) will share row 3. Notable drivers starting further behind include Scott Dixon in 7th (Chip Ganassi Racing) and Team Penske's Ryan Briscoe (8th) and Helio Castroneves (9th).
