Problems with weepers at the Twin Ring Motegi delayed the start of the Indy Japan 300 and ultimately led to the race being postponed when a storm moved into the area shortly after 3:00 p.m. The race is now scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Sunday morning.

Weepers in Turns 2 and 3 were fixed prior to the scheduled start of the race. Crews were still tending to persistent problems in Turn 4 when rain began to fall at the track. It is not clear whether the weeper problem will need to be addressed in the morning when crews return to the track.
