Justin looking for a strong run at The Milwaukee Mile
Justin is looking to put in a good performance at Sunday's running of the ABC Supply/A.J.Foyt 225 IndyCar Series race at The Milwaukee Mile.
Recording finishes of 11th, 4th and 2nd in Champ Car days, Justin came 7th in his 2008 IndyCar debut at this short oval circuit, which is the oldest active racetrack in the world dating back to 1903.
"I'm really excited to be going back to The Milwaukee Mile this year" said Justin, who drives the #18 Z-Line Designs car for Dale Coyne Racing, "With the disappointment of last weekend's Indy 500 behind me, I want to concentrate on the next stretch of ovals before we get back to the road and street courses in July."
The difference between the two venues is something that demands a great deal of adjustment, both in terms of car set-up and in a driver's approach. Justin commented: "The scaling and the sizing (from Indy to The Mile) changes so much, it just blew me away the first time. I'll be much better prepared this year to deal with that. Milwaukee is a relatively flat track that you can almost treat as if you were turning on a road course. It is quite a challenge to adjust - it's hard enough doing one lap there right on the edge, to do four you've got to make sure the car is right because you just can't wing it. It's all about getting your line right, you have to be absolutely perfect on the line to get through there to carry the speed."
Qualifying is scheduled for 3:45 - 5:00pm local time (9:45 - 11:00pm in the UK) on Saturday 30 May, with the race itself due off at 2:50pm local time on Sunday (8:50pm in the UK). Race coverage in the US is on the ABC network. Qualifying and the race can be followed live at www.indycar.com. There is no live TV coverage in the UK, but highlights are due to be shown on Channel Five at 2:00am on Wednesday 3rd June.
