Milwaukee: Andretti Green Racing race report

Danica Patrick, ...

Danica Patrick, #7 Motorola Dallara/Honda/Firestone

"We started the race today with a balanced Motorola car, and as the race went on I really struggled to keep it. We were able to make improvements, but they were not able to hold the entire stint of the run. I had some understreer issues all day, and this is where we as a team need to find out what the problem is and find a solution. On a good note, we finished the race which we have not been able to do in the last two races."

Tony Kanaan, #11 Team 7-Eleven Dallara/Honda/Firestone

"Ryan (Briscoe) was really strong, and I'm always in favor of the fast car winning the race. He deserved it from where he started. He passed everybody at the racetrack, so congratulations to him. Saying all of that, the Team 7-Eleven guys are happy with third. When you don't have a car to win, you have to understand what you have in your hands and that's what we had today. It is very good momentum for Team 7-Eleven and for the championship. To think championship, you have to finish in the top-three."

Marco Andretti, #26 Indiana Jones/Blockbuster Dallara/Honda/Firestone

"I knew from the start that our car was going to be super loose. When I was out front, with clean air, the car had no understeer in it, so I knew it was going to go loose. We knew we started with way too much front wing so we just backed it out a turn and we ended up taking two and a half turns out. Unfortunately we didn't get the Indiana Jones/Blockbuster car dialed in until the end and then the accident happened.

(ON THE ACCIDENT ON LAP 222) "We were racing and things like this happen. The stint before, Ed (Carpenter) kind of threw the car into me so I gave him as much room as I could and nearly lost it in the marbles. Then, in the accident, I just carried too much speed into the corner and I had dirty air in front of me. I lost the front end of the Indiana Jones/Blockbuster car and went up into him. It's just a real shame because we could have had some decent points today."

Hideki Mutoh, #27 Formula Dream Dallara/Honda/Firestone

"I thought I was going to be able to get through the crash, but I got hit from behind and my car was damaged. I knew there were only a few laps to go, so I just concentrated on finishing the race. The Formula Dream team did a great job today and was able to get me in and out of the pits quickly. We managed to finish the race and get some points. I look forward to racing in Texas next week and hopefully we will do well there."
