Danica Patrick, #7 Motorola Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"The Motorola car was pretty fast during practice this morning, but I was unable to find the speed that I needed during qualifying. I am disappointed that I did not qualify better knowing that I started on the front row last year. But there are some areas of the course where I will be able to make some passes. It is a long race, so hopefully I can work my way up the field."
Tony Kanaan, #11 Team 7-Eleven Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"We're happy that we were able to extend Team 7-Eleven's streak of Firestone Fast Six appearances. We're still the only car to be a part of each of the Firestone Fast Six sessions. Unfortunately we couldn't really make a run for the pole. One of the wires on the cable got loose so the throttle was stuck the whole way. I couldn't really stop the car, so we decided to come in and settle for fifth."
Marco Andretti, #26 Blockbuster Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"These were the toughest qualifying runs of my life in the Blockbuster car. The steering was so heavy. I'm definitely going to need a rest before the race tomorrow. I gave it everything I had and that's all we had in the car."
Hideki Mutoh, #27 Formula Dream Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"I'm really disappointed that we didn't go faster and qualify for the Firestone Fast Six Shootout. But, this qualifying effort is a lot better than Watkins Glen and we should be starting from a good position. The Formula Dream guys did a great job and I want to thank them for all their hard work. I think with the right race strategy we should be able to have a good race."
