INDIANAPOLIS, IN - KVSH Racing driver Sebastien Bourdais returns to racing action following a two week break this weekend in the Shell and Pennzoil Grand Prix of Houston presented by the Greater Houston Honda Dealers, June 27-29, in Houston, Texas.

The Grand Prix of Houston will feature two races on the 1.69-mile, 10-turn NRG Park temporary street circuit. Qualifying for the first race and Race No. 1 will be held on Saturday, June 28 with the second qualifying and Race No. 2 on Sunday, June 29.

Bourdais, who will pilot the No. 11 MISTIC E-Cigs - KVSH Racing Chevrolet/Dallara/Firestone machine in both events, has enjoyed a tremendous amount of success on the streets of Houston. The 35-year-old Frenchman, who will be making his fifth and sixth starts in Houston, has two victories (2006 and 2007), both while competing in the Champ Car World Series. He made his first appearance in an Indy car last year earning two of his six top-10 finishes and one of his four top-five showings during the 2013 season (qualified 13th, finished fifth in Race No. 1 and qualified 14th and finished eighth in Race No. 2).

Commenting on this weekend's race Bourdais said, "I think everyone needed a break, but it will be good to get back to racing starting this weekend in Houston. We had a fast car for the first two street races at St. Petersburg and Long Beach. At Detroit, we struggled, but learned a few things. Hopefully the car will be more like the Long Beach car and we challenge for the pole and a podium finish. The biggest thing in Houston will be the weather. We all know it is going to be hot and there could be rain, so having a good car from the first day will be important. The key for KVSH Racing is to keep working hard and start putting up consistently good results."

This weekend's race in Houston affords Bourdais the opportunity to get back on a street circuit, where he has excelled both during his career and this season. It is also crucial to his position in the championship standings where, after getting into the top-10 following a season-high fourth place finish in the inaugural Grand Prix of Indianapolis and a career-high seventh-place finish in the Indy 500, he has slipped back to 12th place (180 points) after a 13th place showing in the Chevrolet Indy Dual in Detroit Race No. 1, a disappointing 20th place performance in Race No. 2 and a 20th place finish in the Firestone 600 at Texas Motor Speedway.

The Shell and Pennzoil Grand Prix of Houston presented by The Greater Houston Honda Dealers, will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Network beginning at 3:00 p.m. (ET). They can also be heard live on IMS Radio Network affiliates, XM Channel 209, Sirius Channel 213 IndyCar.com, IndyCarRadio.com or via the Verizon IndyCar14 app.
