Baltimore, Md. (27 August 2013) – Fresh off of his best finish of the season, Justin Wilson will be right back in race action this weekend as the IZOD IndyCar Series travels nearly 3,000 miles across the country from the West Coast’s Sonoma Raceway to the East Coast’s Baltimore Grand Prix presented by SRT.

Wilson claimed his third podium finish of the year on Sunday when he drove his No. 19 Boy Scouts of America Honda to a second place finish at the scenic Sonoma road course. The result leapfrogged Wilson up to seventh in the 2013 championship standings as he now sits just 19 points out of the top-five.

With just four more race events remaining on the 2013 calendar, Wilson targets four more strong outings as he aims for a top-five position in the year-end championship standings.

In a season that has seen its ups and downs for the Dale Coyne Racing driver, Wilson has completed 14 of 15 races so far this year and has placed among the top-10 in 10 races. Those results have seen the British driver remain among the top-nine of the championship all season long.

While the IZOD IndyCar Series is making its third visit to the Streets of Baltimore, the 2013 event marks Wilson’s second trip to the 12-turn, 2.4-mile circuit. He was forced to miss the 2011 Baltimore debut event while recovering from a back injury which he had sustained earlier that year.

“It was great to finish on the podium at Sonoma and I’m excited to get going again at Baltimore this weekend,” said Wilson, who looks to carry his podium momentum into the Baltimore event. “It’s a challenging course and I think it will be another tough race, but we just want to continue what we’ve been doing with the Boy Scouts of America Honda. Qualify well and run a straightforward, clean race and hopefully we’ll be back up on the podium on Sunday.”

Two of Wilson’s three podiums this year have come on the temporary street circuit layout (Long Beach and Dual 1 at Detroit) and he and Dale Coyne Racing look to continue that positive trend through the streets of Baltimore on Sunday.

Wilson will have yet another Dale Coyne Racing teammate this weekend, but it will be a very familiar face at Baltimore as his brother Stefan is set to make his IndyCar Series debut in the No. 18 Nirvana Tea entry.

"I am very happy for Stefan and this great opportunity,” said Wilson. “It should be a lot of fun racing against each other as we both have similar driving styles.”

Weekend Schedule: Wilson will take to the track for two 45-minute practice sessions on Friday as well as a 45-minute practice Saturday morning. Qualifying for the Baltimore Grand Prix presented by SRT will begin at 12:00 PM (ET) on Saturday. A final 30-minute warm up is set for Sunday morning ahead of the 75-lap race.

TV Listings: NBCSports will carry live coverage of Sunday’s race beginning at 2:00 PM (ET). Fans in the UK will find live coverage of the race at 7:00 PM (BST) on ESPN.
